How do I obtain a quote for a web design?

• You can either fill in the enquiry form, simply email us with your proposals, or phone us directly for a discussion of your needs and a web design estimate.
• All our web designs are custom made, therefore you will be presented with a 'story board' layout of what the web design will look like. This allows you to make changes at the very start.

How long does it take to create a web site?

This varies client to client. Obviously, no two web designs are the same, and things such as image density can affect the overall time. Our entry level web sites take around two weeks from start to finish. Larger projects can take longer depending on your requirements. As a small company Kyng Designs prides itself on its work and as we will never over commit we also have to take into account our current workload. Our clients are important to us and we will give an honest appraisal of our time commitments for any web design project.

What do you need from me?

Generally speaking, the more information you can supply us with, the faster your web site can be created. We recognise that not all our clients have the appropriate images to hand, or the text available. We can either create your graphics for you or use stock, royalty free, images. Text for the site can also be generated as long as we have an idea of what you are looking to achieve. It is wise to bear in mind that the more work we have to do in relation to images or scripting your text, the longer it will take and the costlier it will be.

Do you optimise your web design for search engines?

Yes, all our web designs are coded for search engine optimisation. Keywords searches are carried out to generate good visibility on the net. Customers are advised of the various methods of attracting business to their sites, although Kyng Designs does not promote underhand activities to generate business. Using spam, link farms, or multiple ghost web sites to drive your stats up are not our way of working, as they can led to you being excluded by the main search engines.

It can take time before the spiders used by search engines find your first pages and include them in the search engine's results. Things like Googles site map regime can help this process and we produce these for all of our clients as a matter of course. Search engine optimisation and recognition by search sites takes time, there are never any instant results; and for some higher end user there is a need for monthly updates to their web sites.

Registering your domain.

You may already have a domain name registered, in which case we can either use the provider you have or transfer the name to our own hosting provider for a small fee. If you do not have a domain name as yet, we can find the availability of suitable names and register them for you. Our host is a major European company that offers excellent service across the board. Once your site is up and running you have the option to upgrade your site by -

• paying a one off payment for upgrades
• taking out a monthly contract for upgrades
• upgrading your site yourself from your own pc
